
Dr. Elizabeth M. Adams is the founder of EMA Advisory. She is an award-winning Responsible AI strategist, global influencer, educator, and author whose work focuses on AI governance, employee stakeholder engagement, and the evolving relationship between technology, culture, and human values.
A fifth-generation Minnesotan, she has spent more than a decade advising organizations across sectors at critical moments of AI adoption, helping leaders navigate not only what is possible, but what is responsible. Her work is grounded in a clear premise: technology should serve people, and leadership must guide how that happens.
Dr. Adams designs and teaches applied AI courses that help individuals and organizations develop practical, human-centered approaches to working with AI. Her LinkedIn Learning course has been completed by thousands of learners and translated into six languages, extending her impact to a global audience. She is also among a select group of experts featured on Microsoft’s AI Skills Navigator page, recognizing her contributions to advancing AI literacy and workforce readiness.
Dr. Adams holds a doctorate in Leadership of Responsible AI from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. This scholarship led to a visiting appointment at the AI Policy Lab in Umeå, Sweden, and the founding of the Minnesota Responsible AI Institute, where she advances initiatives at the intersection of workforce development, sustainability, and long-term economic success.
As part of her legacy, Dr. Adams developed the Emerging Leaders Initiative (ELI) Fellowship, a program that enables individuals under the age of 30 to explore and articulate how artificial intelligence is shaping their experiences of work, identity, and economic futures in real time.
Dr. Adams is the author of In the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Choosing Purpose Before Code and a series of companion workbooks designed to support reflection and real-world decision-making.
